Welcome to “the Journey”

Love and pain seem to be natural courses of life on this side of heaven.  Just as down pairs well with up.  Healing is created for hurt.  The beauty is, we may be going through today, but with Love in our life, this pain is not always or forever.

I’ll share a part of my journey and let’s see what we have in common . . .

I Was Born In a Fit

“I was born in a fit of bloodshed and tears,
delivered into things that have stayed with me for years.
Confused by the lies that hovered over me,
did the hard work to discover that I am more than what I see

because like my Father, there is time-less-ness in me.

I was born in the presence of struggle and pain
moved around for a season like I didn’t have a name
I giggled and laughed at some half-cocked men
Took a while to fall madly in love with the skin that I’m in

because of my Father I was delivered from this self-destroying sin.

I was born in the face of chaos and hurt
too many years controlled by 97 cents worth of dirt.
Since my spirit is the real me, then my body’s not in charge
now I’m connected to something bigger than me, and finally living large

because my Father loves on me with all of His heart

I am renewed and reshaped in the palm of God’s hands
no apologies for the truth, His Love’s better than my ex-man
I am liberated and celebrated all because Love made me
and now that I can taste it may it always be ‘Good Loving‘ ”
